Cancer Research Wales is taking part in the National Eisteddfod from 3rd – 10th August in Denbighshire and searching for local volunteers to help out on its stall.
Willing helpers will be asked to assist on the stand in the morning or afternoon and can then gain free entry on to the Maes and enjoy the Eisteddfod for the rest of the day.
The Cancer Research Wales Eisteddfod stall aims to promote the charity and raise awareness of its pioneering work while also selling merchandise.
Charity Director for Cancer Research Wales Liz Andrews said: “We are so grateful for any time people can give throughout to week in order to help support us.
“Manning the Eisteddfod stall is a great experience; the festival is just a week of fun with so many brilliant people from all over Wales.”
She added: “Our stall does prove very popular, particularly visitors buying our Christmas cards and other seasonal merchandise, so we really need as many helpers as possible!”
All money raised through the National Eisteddfod stall will support groundbreaking cancer research projects at various Welsh hospitals and Universities.
The National Eisteddfod is a travelling festival with around 150,000 visitors every year and completely dependent on the support of volunteers.
