Cancer Research Wales’ Talbot Green charity shop will celebrate its first birthday with a fashion extravaganza.
The ‘One Show’ event on Thursday 25th April from 6pm-9pm, will include an exclusive fashion show displaying stylish bargains from the charity’s Talbot Green shop.
Lucky fashionistas will also have the chance to bag themselves a celebrity bargain as glamorous model and WAG Danielle Lineker, has kindly donated an Alexander McQueen dress worth more than £700.
The Cardiff born beauty donated a Roland Mouret dress to a previous Cancer Research Wales event and continues to support the charity.
Entry to the event is free, and will also include a buffet and a series of hair and makeup demos showcasing the latest trends.
Cancer Research Wales’ charity shops play a prominent role in raising funds for vital research into Cancer in Wales. The Talbot Green store has a large furniture department, a selection of mens’ and womens’ clothing, books, bric-a-brac and a childrens’ & baby dept.
All the money raised at the event will stay in Wales to help fund groundbreaking research into new cancer treatments.
Speaking about her involvement, Danielle said:
‘I am delighted to support Cancer Research Wales, and the hard work they carry out across Wales. It is with great pleasure that I have donated one of my dresses, I hope it helps to raise lots of cash at their fashion event.’
Laura Hooper, Fundraising Manager for Cancer Research Wales, said:
“We are really excited about the ‘One Show’ and it promises to be a very popular event, we have some fantastic stock and this is a great opportunity to show it off.
“Shoppers can expect a glamorous night and even bag a bargain, while also supporting an extremely worthwhile, local cause.”
