Park with Cancer Research Wales this Christmas
23 Nov 2011
Christmas shoppers heading to Cardiff City Centre can avoid the hustle and bustle of the big multistory car parks and help fight cancer at the same time.
Cancer Research Wales will be running a Charity Car Park in the run up to the big day on Park Place in Cathays. Shoppers can leave their car all day on Saturday or Sunday in the run up to Christmas for just £5, all of which will go towards finding cures for cancer here in Wales.
Liz Andrews, Cancer Research Wales Charity Director, said: “This is the first time we’ve ever run a charity car park but it’s a fantastic opportunity to raise a lot of money for our cause. The location is ideal as it’s next to the Winter Wonderland and just a short walk from the main shopping area.”
Cancer Research Wales will also be getting in to the festive spirit with its Christmas wrapping service which shoppers can take advantage of in Queen’s Arcade from Sunday 18th December up until Christmas Eve.
