Pontypridd wedding fayre unveiled

23 Apr 2013

Following on from the successful opening of our bridal suite in Taff Street earlier this year, Cancer Research Wales is preparing to hold our first ever wedding fayre in Pontypridd.
The fayre will take place at Alfred’s in Market Street on Sunday 12th May and showcases some of the specialist bridal boutique’s fantastic stock. Welsh brides-to-be will have everything they need in one place for planning for their special day.

This is the first time Cancer Research Wales will hold the popular wedding fayre outside of Cardiff, where it always draws in a crowd.

Entry to the event is free, with complimentary drinks and a goody bag on arrival, guests can look forward to a day of pampering and refreshments with hair and makeup demonstrations galore. There will also be a range of exhibitors for plenty of bridal inspirations.

One of the highlights of the bespoke wedding fayre will be the unique Cancer Research Wales Bridal Show, giving visitors the chance to peek at the very best of the stores beautiful bridal dresses, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride outfits. The extensive range of designs are all available at a fraction of the original price and come from some of the wedding industry’s top designers.

All the money raised through the sale of the Bridal Suite dresses stays in Wales to fund vital cancer research projects.

Founded in 1966, the indigenous Welsh charity funds vital and pioneering cancer research projects across Wales, including in the research laboratory based at the Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff.

Wendy Collie, Fundraiser at Cancer Research Wales said: “This is a unique opportunity for brides-to-be to get some inspiration for their big day. Lots of couples are keen to see how their celebrations can also help in the fight against cancer in Wales, and this is set to be a great showcase.”

The Cancer Research Wales Wedding Fayre is free to enter and runs from 10am to 3pm, shows will take place at 11am and 2.30pm. If you would like to exhibit, please call 029 2031 6976.
