It was probably the biggest, most important day of your life and you looked fantastic!
Amazingly, most women put their fabulous dresses away in a box or a cupboard, never to be worn again. Surely this isn’t a fitting way to treat such a special outfit?
Cancer Research Wales has come up with an exciting way to put this calamitous state of affairs to rights and raise money for our pioneering research work at the same time.
We are asking brides to donate their wedding dress to help raise money for the fight against cancer.
When we opened the shop in April 2011 we had a several hundred wedding dresses in stock. Many were pre-owned, generously donated by brides who’d had their own big day and now wanted those beautiful dresses to be appreciated by others – and to help a great cause at the same time!
But many other dresses are brand new – never worn – but generously donated by some of the wedding industry’s best-known retailers and include designers such as, Amanda Wyatt, Ronald Joyce and Mon Cherie.
We also welcome donations of mother-of-the-bride outfits, accessories and bridesmaid dresses.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of those people who have donated our fantastic stock.
Anyone wishing to donate a wedding dress should contact Cancer Research Wales on 029 2031 6976. We will even come and collect dresses whenever possible – just ask when you call us.
And don’t forget to Gift Aid your wedding dress donation!
