Volunteers.

We are always in need of volunteers to help with specific fund raising events, such as coffee mornings, raffles at work etc. For those with more time and a long term objective to help Cancer Research Wales there is the opportunity to become an area co-ordinator. These people help volunteers and encourage others to become volunteers. Anyone interested in helping Cancer Research Wales should contact our office on 01222 628291 Ex 6283 or 01222 521609 (24hr), or contact John Burnet, Appeals Co-ordinator on 01222 615888 Ex.6211.

Holding Events

Donations from fund raising events areour  charity's major source of income. Below are some examples of events held principally by volunteers in 1996:

Please contact us if you are interested in holding an event on behalf of Cancer Research Wales.

Giving Donations.

Remember that CRW is an efficient organisation giving more than 96% of donations to research projects that have been `peer reviewed' by experts from cancer centres throughout the UK and that only those projects with the highest rating are funded. Please send donations c/o The Chairman, Dr.D.K.L.Davies, Cancer Research Wales, Velindre Hospital, Cardiff. CF4 3XL.

Giving by Covenant or GAYE.

We hope you will give a donation via Give As You Earn or Deed of Covenant and make the Tax man give us another donation that could be as much as 40p for every 1 you have given. A printable form for making a covenant is available on this site or you can contact us and we will send you one.

Current Appeals & Events.

Our New Laboratory Appeal is currently raising money to replace our 40 year old research laboratories. This year we Paraquest are arranging Sponsored Parachute Jumps to raise money for this campaign. We also held a Classic Car fair and raffle this summer which was very successful  and raised over 8,000 towards our 1.5 million target. If you would like to help with any appeal do not hesitate to contact us. para.JPG (14480 bytes)
